Vehicles in Albury are being targeted by thieves in big numbers, according to the latest crime figures.

Thefts from cars in Albury has been happening at more than double the rate in the rest of the State.

Thefts of vehicles is also higher than the State average.

Many vehicles were left unlocked, and Police are again reminding owners to properly secure their cars.

Wangaratta Police are also reporting incidents of theft from cars and have warned of the increasing likelihood of it occurring as we move closer to the holiday period.
