It comes as ski lifts open with strict social distancing measures to comply with coronavirus restrictions.

Victorian ski resorts, like Falls Creek and Mount Hotham, pushed back their reopening date to July 6 due to minimal snowfall.

Statement from Dinner Plain

"Having re-purposed the popular Cobungra Platter slope for tobogganing instead of skiing, this 75m slope is the longest in Australia for tobogganing, highlighting Dinner Plain’s family favourite reputation for a low-cost snow holiday. Cross Country skiing and snowshoeing trails opened also yesterday after 20cm of snow fell on the Alpine Village, 10km beyond Mount Hotham".
